Originally beginning in 2025, ‘giving nature a home’ aims to promote RSPB Sandwell Valley, a nature reserve in West Bromwich targeted primarily at Birdwatchers, and aims to open up the hobby to a new audience. Drawing on my own experiences as a birdwatcher and frequent visitor, the photographs aim to showcase the natural beauty found within the space, and to emphasise the need for an outdoors hobby for the benefit of our mental and physical health.

The work was chosen for GRAIN’s graduate exhibition during their National Symposium in 2025 despite me not being a graduate at the time, and has since been exhibited in the PRISM X PhotoNetwork Exhibition in Birmingham too.

This is a project I dip in and out of as I please, it currently has no set end date. It will become a book eventually, but I have many different ideas I’d still like to explore within this space.
